The following are some nearby trials:
Before Show
The National takes place immediately following the Peach Blossom Cluster in Perry Georgia. That includes four days of agility put on by the Atlanta Kennel Club and the Chattahoochee Weimaraner Clubs on Thursday thru Sunday. They also usually have a match on Wednesday afternoon. It is about a four hour drive from Perry to Chattanooga so if little dogs are first on Sunday, you can drive up to Chattanooga in plenty of time to settle in and get ready for the next day. The trials take place in a well climate controlled indoor arena on well maintained dirt. There is plenty of seating and crating space. Since it takes place in conjunction with the Peach Blossom Cluster, there is plenty of shopping as well. The Atlanta airport is roughly midway between Perry and Chattanooga.
In 2010, the Oak Ridge Kennel Club held a three day trial on the same weekend as the PBC in Harriman, TN. Harriman is about 1.5 hours north of Chattanooga. The trials were held indoors in a heated arena with a dirt floor.
After Show
In 2010, the Atlanta Obedience Club held a two day trial (corresponding dates for 2011: April 23&24) at the Wills Park Equestrian Center in Alpharetta, GA. The facility is an outdoor covered arena with a dirt surface. Alpharetta is on the north side of Atlanta.
